The North Taiwan Brewing was established in June, 2003. The company was founded by professor Kow Jen Duan, who teaches microbial fermentation in Tatung University. Ten years ago, Dr. Duan was asked to make some beers for his boss. Enjoying himself in this challenge, he started to get deeper into a research of the beer styles and the technology of beer brewing. Now he is leading two students in brewing virtually hand-made beer in Taiwan, promoting the beer brewing technology to a level of craftwork boundaries. The beer presented by North Taiwan Brewing is the first bottled craft beer in Taiwan.
